Donate to Unisson's Tax Appeal

As this financial year draws to a close, Unisson Disability would like to say thank you for the ongoing support given by our community, supporters and families. With the support we receive, Unisson is able to continue to provide opportunities for the people we support to live their lives as independently as they can.

While the NDIS allows us to implement each and every one of our client's support plans, every gift and donation contributes to funding something extra that might make a huge difference in someone's life, or will allow us to invest in better resources and training for our valued staff.

A bit part of what we do at Unisson is enabling our participants to pursue their own goals and create rich and fulfilling experiences in their communities. We would like to share a personal story from a Unisson Disability participant, who has found her own independence and personal growth through living in one of Unisson's shared homes on the Central Coast.

Meet Siobhan. Siobhan moved into Unisson's shared living house in Wadalba about six years ago, and hasn't looked back.

"Moving into my own place was amazing," she says.
"I was so excited to decorate my room and to hang my photos up. Living with friends is great."

Siobhan has especially enjoyed being able to plan and cook meals with friends, and expand her skillset in the kitchen.

"It's nice when you are cooking with a friend and eating a meal together and having a chat," she says. Siobhan also loves being able to make regular plans with her family now that she lives independently. "I love babysitting my nieces and nephew. We organise to go out and see each other a lot, and they really like my place which makes me proud."
