Meeting a Princess at the Royal Easter Show

Unisson provided the opportunity for many of our clients to enjoy the magic of the Royal Easter Show, through our Supported Living service. It was a lot of fun in amongst the animals, sampling produce, watching shows and of course picking out their favourite show bags!

Kate, one of our Supported Living clients, is a huge fan of Princess Anne. When she found out that the Princess would be opening this year's Show, she reached out to Unisson to see if we could help her get there. She had a dream to meet Princess Anne like she did years ago at the show when she was only eleven years old. Kate dressed to the occasion and carried with her the 1988 photo of her being presented to the Princess.

With a bit of detective work and help, and Kate's winning smile and larger than life personality, we managed to track down Princess Anne, and Kate's dream came true!

Princess Anne was intrigued to see the thirty-four-year old photo and chatted at length with Kate about her accident and her work.

After the meeting, Kate enjoyed waving to the royal motorcade, looking at the art on display and, of course, seeing the animals in the pavilions.
