Unisson Disability is delighted to announce the appointment of David Kneeshaw as its new CEO, effective 22 October 2018.
David has been a key member of Unisson’s executive and leadership team since early 2015 and will take over from Rebecca Fletcher, who has been with Unisson for 30 years and led the organisation with distinction as CEO for the last 14 years.
“David was chosen in a competitive selection process from a strong field of internal and external candidates, and we are pleased to know that David will be able to provide continuity of the current purpose and vision for the organisation as he moves forward as CEO. He is a highly impressive talent known for his collaborative leadership style and for building high performance teams,” Steven Gregg said.
Commenting on David Kneeshaw’s appointment, outgoing CEO Rebecca Fletcher said, “David is a brilliant colleague and a great friend. I am personally delighted to be handing over the reins to such an outstanding leader with such a longstanding and personal connection to our organisation.”
David’s history with the organisation stems back over the last 70 years, with his uncle Peter Grigg being a resident at Unisson’s former Gore Hill residence for over 50 years. David’s grandfather set up the first Parents & Friends Association at Unisson and David’s mother has retired from the Board this year after 27 years’ of service.
Reflecting on his appointment, David said, “I am honoured to have been chosen to lead an organisation that is so close to my heart and plays such an important role in our community. Unisson is in great shape thanks to strong leadership over the last 14 years and I’m committed to ensure that the organisation thrives in the new NDIS world and extends its mission even further.”
