Ground Works
Do you love working outdoors? This role is perfect for people who like physical outdoor work and gardening.
As a Home & Garden Maintenance Worker for Ground Works, You’ll providing home and garden maintenance services to councils, government, retirement villages, hospitals, residential properties and more.
Pack Works
Pack Works offers our Supported Employees the opportunity to learn new skills and get involved in a wide varierty of different jobs and projects in mail and packaging. We have an accessible warehouse based in Thornleigh and, occasionally , visit some business clients on site. Our work facilitators will support you to learn and master the skills required for every task!

What type of services does Unisson Works provide?
Unisson Works has two business units; Pack Works and Ground Works. The team at Pack Works provide mail distribution and packaging services, ranging from letter collation, folding and showbag packing to heat sealing and light assembly tasks. We can do the work at our warehouse in Thornleigh, or at your premises. The team at Ground Works provide lawn care and garden maintenance services to government and residential properties around Sydney’s Northern and Western Suburbs, and now the Central Coast.
What are the working conditions like for Unisson’s supported employees?
Like any other job, our supported employees work at their own pace with support from a number of supervisors. Standard WHS requirements apply to ensure a safe and clean workplace.
How much do Unisson’s supported employees get paid?
Unisson Works’ supported employees earn the Supported Employee Award wage + superannuation. Most supported employees are also paid the disability pension and therefore earn more than the minimum wage.
Do Unisson’s supported employees receive sick pay and annual leave?
All full-time and part-time supported employees receive sick leave, annual leave and long service leave. This leave is pro-rata for part-time employees.
What’s the difference between Unisson Works and Unisson Disability?
Unisson Works is a business set up by disability support provider Unisson Disability, to provide supported employment to people living with a disability. Unisson Works provides employment to enable those with a disability to earn an income, learn skills and fully participate in the workforce in a supported environment.
Who is Unisson Disability?
Unisson Disability is one of NSW’s leading National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) service providers and has been providing support to those with disability and their families since 1924. Our suite of services includes accommodation support, community services, support for children and young adults, NDIS support coordination and finding and keeping a job.
What is a Disability Enterprise? Why are they important?
Disability Enterprises are part of a collection of employment opportunities for people with disability and act as a link, helping them gain training, experience and confidence in their chosen field. Disability Enterprises employ over 20,000 Australians with varying degrees of disability who are not currently able to work without support.
Disability Enterprises like Unisson Works are supported by the National Disability Services BuyAbility initiative, which is aimed at growing the supported employment network platform by making it easier for government and private business buyer channels to do business with Disability Enterprises nationally.
What is supported employment?
Supported employment offers paid employment for people with disability in a supported working environment. In supported employment, staff make meaningful contributions to the workforce. Research shows the social interactions of the workplace can lead to beneficial health and wellbeing outcomes for people with disability.
