Community Access
At Unisson we know how important it is to feel a sense of fulfilment from day-to-day activities. We also understand that no
one person is the same. With that in mind, we offer both centre-based and community-based services with endless
opportunities.
All of our programs are centred on these 4 main themes:
Adventure
Try something new like hiking, swimming or fishing
Lifestyle
Learn some great file skills to boost your confidence! Try our cooking classes, learn to garden, sew or even design your own outfit.
Culture
Attend events or festivals such as Mardi Gras, Vivid or the Easter show... may be even attend a show at the Theatre.
Wellness
It is important to have a fealthy body and mind. Join us for soccer, dance, basket ball or yoga.
These are just a few of the activities that you can participate in. If there is something new that you’d like to try, let us
know and we can make it happen!
All of our activities will either be at our Unisson Community Hub or out in the local community.
How Can We Support You?
Community Based
Feeling connected to your community is important to your happiness and sense of bellonging.
Unisson Disability will support you in taking part in activities that you enjoy, giving you the opportunity to meet and mix with people who share your interests. That means you don’t have to attend a day program if you don’t want to.
Our aim is to support you to achieve your unique goals and aspirations and to help increase your sense of independence as a valued and participating member of the community.
Centre Based
Our Community Access Hubs vary from day to day and includes activities, outings, learning and development. Each day’s activities are chosen by you and staff will support you to make your own choices throughout the day. Along the way, you’ll meet others and have the chance to make new friends.
Unisson Disability’s community access hubs are located in Lane Cove, St Ives, Terrey Hills, Beaumont Hills and Raymond Terrace.
