In partnership with DPN Casa Capace, we bring you a brand-new SDA development in Tarro, NSW.
This exceptional new home creates a beautiful living environment that offers flexibility to accommodate residents with different support needs. With the residents in mind, this purpose-built home offers functionality, accessibility, and durability – allowing residents with more specific housing needs to live a more independent life.
This new property features two separate dwellings, each dwelling comprising of three bedrooms each with a connecting ensuite. Other features include:
- Home Features selected by you: Residents will be involved in selecting personal design elements of their new home.
- Located in an established community: The new property is in close proximity to local shops, restaurants, transportation and hospitals.

What is Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)?
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) refers to housing designed for individuals with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs.
What is the difference between SDA and Supported Independent Living (SIL)?
SDA focuses on the physical housing, while SIL provides personal support services for daily living within or outside SDA homes.
Who is eligible for SDA housing?
SDA is available to NDIS participants who meet specific eligibility criteria and require specialised housing to meet their support needs.
How is SDA funded?
The SDA payments from your NDIS plan are paid to your SDA provider. SDA funding is for the cost of the home or building you live in. Your SIL funding is separate to your SDA funding.
How do I get SDA funding?
If you don’t have SDA funding included in your NDIS plan, you will need to complete an NDIS Home and Living Supports Request Form to explore whether SDA will work for you. If you are not eligible for SDA, there are other home and living supports that may be more suitable like our Supported Independent Living (SIL) options.
What support services are provided in SDA housing?
SDA housing includes support services tailored to individual needs, such as personal care, daily living assistance, and access to on-call support staff.

How do I apply for SDA with Unisson Disability?
To apply for SDA, you can contact us directly or work with your NDIS planner or support coordinator for assistance.
I have SDA funding with another SDA provider and am looking to switch providers. Will my funding transfer to my new SDA provider?
Yes. Once you move out of your existing SDA home, your SDA funding from the NDIS will be directed to your new SDA provider.
I don’t have SDA funding but would like to know more.
