Unisson is thrilled to announce that seven talented artists, who attend our paper art studio in Pymble and ceramics studio in Frenchs Forest, are participating in the Exploration Exhibition hosted by the Ku-ring-gai Art Centre from the 11th- 25th of July 2019.

The local art exhibition, organised by Ku-ring-gai council, encourages artists with a disability to promote their work, share the inspirations behind their work and, if they wish, to sell their artworks. All participating artists will receive a certificate, presented by Major Jennifer Anderson, and will be in the running for the People’s Choice Award for the most popular artwork.

The artists who have submitted their paper studio pieces are Kim Merrick and Leanne Christian, along with ceramics studio artists, Fred Broso, Rosa Tryholowa, Christine McAndrew and Suzanne Sorrell. Artist Venessa Crane, who regularly attends both art studios submitted an artwork created using 3D drawing software.

These artists have created inspirational pieces to be displayed at the exhibition. If you are interested in seeing these artworks and others, entry is free, and artworks will be displayed until the 25th of July at the Ku-ring-gai Art Centre, 3 Recreation Avenue, Roseville.

Venessa With Artwork ‘Quack Universe’

Venessa’s artwork ‘Quack Universe’ features many ‘Quack’ characters engaged in different activities. To create the artwork, Venessa used a 3d paint program to individually create each ‘Quack’ using 3d shapes. She then used Photoshop to create the background and finished artwork. “I started attending art classes at Unisson 2 1/2 years ago. I have had the privilege of being in Sharyn’s ceramic class and also Juliette‘s paper pulp painting class where I have developed many skills. These have helped me create many versions of my art – all based on my version and creative interpretation of Quack inspired by Donald Duck. These two wonderful facilitators encouraged me to submit to the Exploration Exhibition my own digital art piece ‘Quack Universe’,” said Venessa.
