Terrey Hills Hub is the hub of possibility – inviting people to explore their interests, make friends and become more confident when out and about in their community. Located just off Mona Vale Road, surrounded by trees and birds, it is Unisson Disability’s largest hub, featuring many multi-use spaces, plenty of natural light and luscious outdoor areas.
No day at Terrey Hills is the same as the one before, with different in-centre activities daily – from music therapy, cooking, meditation, wheelchair Zumba classes, crafts, gardening and more!
Unisson’s Direct Support Professionals also regularly run community activities for clients including BBQ lunches, bush walking adventures, lunch at local cafés and swimming sessions.
Support workers encourage clients to share their ideas and interests, allowing flexibility within the various activities, and giving them greater control over their goals.

The Terrey Hills team also began supporting a local dog rescue business – Monicas Doggie Rescue, with clients participating in dog walking services once a week. Team Leader Kathryn Bennett says this is a highlight for many clients who are fond of animals.
“We have a large group of clients who love animals and have since established a little animal lovers group within the hub. Our dog walking activity is such a fun day out for the clients and is a great way to assist an organisation helping to care for abandoned animals,” she said.
The hub hosts a popular cooking program which explores different cuisines, and this ties in with cultural days such as Easter, Halloween and Christmas, which are celebrated with themed events.
The hub is situated alongside Unisson’s Blue Apple Art Studios, which specialise in a diverse range artistic mediums, facilitated by highly trained art teachers. Budding artists can learn ceramics, painting, as well as paper and clay making.
